Jennifer Hayden enters her 6th year as Athletic Department Office Manager. Bringing a wealth of experience to the role as she has worked in CISD for 15 years previously as a registrar. The 2022-2023 season was especially noteworthy credited with 61% athletes on the honor roll, 174 academic all state recipients, 35 collegiate signees of which 21 were Division I, over 2400 hours of community service, an individual state champion, seven state top ten individuals, two top three state teams, and one top ten state team.
As an athlete, Jennifer was a swimmer for Arlington High School specializing in 500 free and breaststroke. She went on to earn a Business Marketing degree at Texas Tech. Still a workout enthusiast, Jennifer rarely misses Pure Barre, plays pickleball, and participates in soccer leagues. She especially enjoys working in the athletic department because, “Coaches are inspirational and the hardest workers I know.”
Away from the office, Jennifer spends time with her 7 grandkids , gardens, cooks, and absolutely loves finding the perfect antique or gift. In the future, Jennifer hopes to tap into her pioneering spirit to live in France for three months. Her favorite poem, “No man is an island, entire of itself. Each is a piece of the continent, A part of the main. If a clod be washed away by the seas, Europe is the less. As well as if a promontory were. As well as if a manor of thine own OR of thine friend’s were. Each man’s death diminishes me, For I am involved in mankind. Therefore, send not to know For whom the bell tolls, It tolls for thee.” - John Donne
Dava Estes enters her 1st year as Athletic Department Receptionist. Bringing a wealth of experience to the role as she has previously worked as a school receptionist and business owner. She is a tremendous addition already and a serious list completer.
As an athlete, Dava participated in cross country, volleyball, basketball, and track at Boles High School in East Texas. However, probably her favorite sport is UFC; she knows way more than one would expect about UFC. She especially enjoys working in the athletic department because she has always been part of a team and knows the value of athletics in teaching kids to be good people.
Away from the office, Dava spends time with her hilarious family including her three boys who are all athletes. Dava hopes to visit South Korea one day to add to the incredible vacations her family enjoys. Her favorite quote, “No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.” -Aesop
