Coppell ISD Athletics is filled with coaches that care. When asked “Why you coach”, Coach Wiley responded “I coach because it gives me the opportunity to have an impact on tomorrow’s leaders. In my humble opinion team sports are one of the only places where young men and women learn accountability, responsibility and how to work in a team environment and I love to see that light bulb turn on.” Coach Long, when asked, “Why you coached” responded “I honestly didn’t know any other career was an option. I absolutely loved the strategy and human greatness that came from a group of people working together.”

When asked about administrative leadership, Coach Wiley wisely mentions empowerment; putting staff in place and then providing the motivation, confidence, and support to let them do their jobs. Dr. Long views coaching and coaches as one of the greatest avenues to grow kids and appreciates the honor to support the amazing men and women who embark on the coaching journey.
